We have selected high quality cattle from many of the top breeding programs in the country to build a strong foundation for our breeding program. We value the genetics of many of the long-established herds and are proud to have cows from Owl Rock, Zealand Farms, Loch Straun, and Drover Hill. Our younger cattle also carry prefixes from some of today's top herds including Cobblestone, We Tired Acres, Big Ridge, Summit Ranch, and Star Lake.

      We breed almost exclusively by AI and have a large selection of quality bulls in our tank. Evaluated on a variety of factors, each bull we utilize is selected for correct structure, calving ease, great performance, and genetic excellence. We have a diverse set of many of the top bulls in the breed that each bring unique strengths to our program and allow us to consistently produce high quality calves. Bulls are carefully matched with our brood cows and heifers to correct and enhance traits, allowing us to continuously improve each generation. This strategy allows us to select bulls that complement each cow, and diversifies the genetics within our herd. Our breeding goal is to produce structurally sound, productive cattle that display genetic excellence and possess great temperaments while also exemplifying breed characteristics. We value animals that are easily adaptable and able to excel in a variety of programs, from beef production to seed stock.

 

      Utilizing an embryo program, we are able to diversify our calf crop by utilizing embryos from years ago, and gain access to otherwise elusive genetic lines. Flushing our donors has also allowed us to expand the influence of our top performing animals and has increased the availability of many of our most desirable maternal lines.
